Sleaper88 New Member Dec 5, 2012 #1 What is the hottest a basking spot can be for a panther Cham roughly 10 months old
chameleonkev New Member Dec 5, 2012 #2 Mine go to around 86f, some people say more, some say less but this temp works well for me
Sleaper88 New Member Dec 5, 2012 #3 Ok I think I need to get a lower wattage bulb as mine is reading 100
Lathelia Established Member Dec 5, 2012 #4 I think around 90 would be acceptable, but 100 is to much. If you have a baby or female is should be lower.

jannb Chameleon Enthusiast Dec 5, 2012 #5 Top basking temps should be no more than 85 to 87 for an adult panther.
pssh Avid Member Dec 7, 2012 #6 I change it for each individual animals but I dont go higher than 90. I start at 85 for adult males and if they seem to spend a lot (excessive amount) of time basking I raise it a little until they arent basking for so long.
