SO I have 4 hormworms that got huge and I put them in a container full of dirt and they turned into the brown cocoon like things. They have been in the dirt now for atleast 3 weeks or close to a month and have not hatched. They are not dead, becuase when I pick them up or touch them they move!!! I know this might sound dumb, but can they never hatch and just eventually die in that state? Is there anything I can do, do encourage them to hatch. I was told 2weeks or so to hatch (I think) and it has been double that now. Thanks for any feedback!!!
