Very nice python Kent My roomie would kill to have that guy I love some snakes but after seeing the 7 foot redtail boa, that lives up stairs, destroy a medium rabbit I am a little hesitant about holding him now Talk about adrenaline!!! I felt sorry for the rabbit though This guy was rescued by my friend last year. He was raised on live food and will not eat any frozen/dethawed or even "stunned". If its not getting his attention he doesnt want it.

He's a 7 year old Aru-type. And, truth be told, he wouldn't be much security other than just looking scary. He's really one of the friendliest snakes of any species I've ever been around.

I like snakes but if I would see an adult snake on a fence I wouldn't be sure to walk by the fence though i like ur snake very much from the pic

Nice looking snake. Almost makes me want to get GTPs again. Mine were not friendly though and the enclosures I used for them at the time did not make dealing with them fun. Now that I've used the Vision Cages though (for my Boelen's Python) I can see dealing with even an aggressive GTP in them being less problematic. Hmmm...powerball is $74 million this week...

Hey Chris, I use the Vision cages for my GTPs and I think they work great. My female is rather jumpy and wants to eat anything that moves in her cage but is handleable once she's out. I highly recommend this locale-type, especially cb in the US, for best chances at getting a mellow/tame GTP. And you just can't beat high white and blue on a green snake!

Kent, Did you have to work with that Aru to get it tame, or have you noticed the Aru locale type being more docile? I recently picked up a CBB Aru and was curious if what they say is true about the locale. So far mine wants to eat anything in the cage.

I got him at 3 months old and started handling him from day one. He's always been that mellow and that's what I was hoping for when I chose this locale-type. My female is from Gulf Coast Reptiles, who seem to produce a clutch or two of Arus each year, and she's squirrely but not bitey. Is yours from GCR also?
