Holy crap, I think i may have just convinced..

Make sure your female is in tip top shape for breeding. Keep on top if your gut load make sure to keep her (and your male of course) nutrition the best you can, Suppliments too! Eggs take alot out of a female especially fertile ones. Strong healthy female = strong healthy babies!

Good luck!:D

same here except a freakin bird took my female Sat. afternoon when she was basking in her normal plant:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:R.I.P Liz greatest nicest female veiled ever

So she was not in a cage while outdoors? Can't really blame the bird...it didn't know your cham was off limits. Sorry you lost her of course, but the bird was just doing what birds do.

And, make sure you are ready to find good homes for any babies or be prepared to keep them. I'm sure you know there are already lots of baby chams out there looking for homes.

Congrats! I'm nervous for you! I decided I'm going to support breeders as I would die of stress if I ever bred! Well maybe not as much if I had a Jackson that's live bearing...but I'd be a crazy stressed person!! Good luck :D

Thanks! im excited to start it. I went through live birth with my friend who had a jacksons, that was very exciting and stressful

Wow that bird story is crazy. If I let my chameleon bask outside, i'm getting a bb gun so I can keep a watchful eye out for birds. If a bird did get my chameleon I would have a reason to be mad. It would be 5 months allowance down the drain.

Also how big was the chameleon that the bird took?

I'm pretty sure it was an adult female veiled. Well you should have an enclosure outside or be right next to your cham. It's not really the birds fault! It's a bird just being a bird! It's always the owners fault unfortunately
