I'm pretty sure I just convinced my dad to let me get a little girl veiled chameleon! To start a breeding project! YAY YAY YAY!! My boy has been waiting for a girlfriend! ;)

Now I've got to start my research... haha. Any tips guys!? On breeding, laying bins, incubaters etc., anything is helpful!

Second tip- lern to breed fruit flies! babies go thru them like candy, and when you have alot of babies, you go through alot of flies! make sure you start your cultures long b4 your eggs are gonna hatch so you have plenty to feed off!

same here except a freakin bird took my female Sat. afternoon when she was basking in her normal plant:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:R.I.P Liz greatest nicest female veiled ever

imcurt - i will look into that, thanks.

camimom - theres a store down here that sells ff's pretty cheap for a huge amount of them. 1 cup lasted 2 months when my friend's jacksons had 13 babies. i think im going to look into breeding crickets because they arent that cheap after a while

YES IM GOING TO KILL EVERY FREAKIN BIRD THAT I SEE:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Birds do what they do...they live with us and maybe you should have had her in a safer area. I know its sad to loose a cham but its not the birds fault it was doing what comes naturally. Next time keep your cham in an outside cage so cant happen and don't kill birds for your mistake.

Its your fault for her not being safe....

true that! im not going to be be bredding for a while. i still have to get the female first, and then wait a few months for her and then i will be attempt to breed. tryna get all my research. :)

About how much money does it cost to care for the average number of eggs in a clutch when they hatch? ex. theres 30 eggs and they all hatch healthy, how much would it cost for me to care for them till they were 3 months old?

And how much money (avg) do you make off of selling them? I know it depends on the price.

Trying to get all the math figured out to see how much money id have to start earning and how much id have to pay back my parents. :)

thanks for the help!

I buy ff kits from joshs frogs. my last veiled clutch was over 50!some lay more!!! you will need up to 8 clutures going at a time 4 for feeding and 4 growing at least!! its way cheaper to buy kits!
