Holy Cow! Resolution?!?!

Okay so a while back on the forums I read where someone believed that the casque on a Veiled Chameleon could be used to direct water to their mouths. Well just a few minutes ago I was squeezing a wet paper towel over the top of my male Veiled and letting the drops of water drip onto his casque. It didn't matter where I positioned the drops, so long as they dropped right on top of his casque, they went straight to his mouth . They rolled down his casque at an angle towards his brows, ran over top of them, and then straight down to the center of his muzzle! I don't know if anyone knew about this, or if what I am talking about has already been confirmed, so please excuse me if I'm getting a little overly excited if it's something that was already known :D.

Well I didn't know it. Congrats on finding a good way to get him to drink. I no longer have veileds so it won't help with my quads & mellers.:(

Well darn :(. You could always get yourself a Veiled, and you could make room for him by letting me have your Meller's ;). JK but I really would like to have a Meller's. They are just such incredible animals, and continually seeing them on here is not helping me out at all lol.

Cool! I'll try that with Pepito. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I don't find Mellers very attractive. I mean, they're big an all but I dislike their colors. They're not for me. My favorites are the shape of a veiled, the colors of a panther, and the horns of a jackson. I call it: The VeiledPantherJackson! :D I'm so creative.

That would be how they get water to drink in the wild. I imagine they would allow the dew to form on their casques in the wild and get water that way when it's drier out since they come from Yemen.
