We have to go out of state for a few days to spend the holidays with my family. The dogs and cats are easy to care for since we trust our vet and her staff fully with them. Dexter, we really don't since they don't see reptiles. I talked with my mom, and she has no problem with us bringing Dexter along with us. I think she's used to me having lizards and things in my pockets from when I was a little boy so this really didn't phase her.
Now, we're looking into a travel cage for him, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? This is the one we're considering for now - it's compact but a size he'll fit in (He's an ~10 month old Jackson's).

I'll have to work something out with his lights, but it's only for 3-4 days.
Also, the car ride will be 6-7 hours. Are there any precautions we need to take with that also?
He's easy to care for at home, but we haven't taken him anywhere with us yet. Oh, we don't have any home pet sitters that deal with anything but cats and dogs either - tried that route. I think taking him with us is the best way to go (and I'd feel more comfortable doing that), and I hope someone can give us suggestions on traveling with your chameleon friend.
