This year i started collecting different species of jumping spiders. They are extremely active and not too delicate since all my local species are used to a warm and dry climate. This is a female i caught when she was half this size. I must have caught her as she just bred because in a couple months she had a egg case. Most of the babies got out through the air holes i made for the female...

Well Ive caught and killed a couple but now im almost sure they've taken refuge in my chameleon cages. Guess where one ant sized spiderling chose out of the entire 3'x18x18" cage to make his nest?

That's what I'm talk'n about! Hell.to.the.no.! I get the heebie-jeebies just thinking of them crawling all over me! This big boy hates, HATES spiders!!!

I actually like spiders. I know that if i have spiders they have to eat, and they are eating the bugs that can actually do harm

Spiders are fine! But I will admit to panicking every Autumn when spider season hits and one of the big hairy house spiders runs across the lounge carpet, apparently heading straight for me...

I'm also a horrible mum: twice I have helped my daughters by removing a spider that was on the ceiling above their beds, and both times I managed to swat it into their bed while trying to catch it, and both times I pretended I had it and threw it out of the bathroom window...
