Hissing roaches tips plz

Well first of all i need to know if i can sell them for like $1 a piece or more. and i have read in some places that they need a red heat lamp and in others they dont. and how many can i produce a month if i have 20 breeders? and what is their nutrition status? (sorry for all the questions!)

Sincerely,
Miss Hiss

You probably won't sell many at $1 each.

How many you can produce each month depends a lot on how many females and males you have, and how much heat they have.

If you are trying to maximize production, heat is necessary, so is humidity- especially if you only start with 20 individuals. The more you start with, the better they will do as a colony. if 20 is the best you can do, increase humidity by adding a humid substrate for them to crawl around in. A few inches of mulch or oak leaves, kept slightly damp will work great.

Full size adults retail for $3each in my area, when you can find them for sale. prices will be lower in places where they are more legally available.

I suggest a heat mat on one side of the bin. whether or not you need a heat lamp (non-light emitting) or heat mat or whatever will depend on the temp of the room and how fast you want them to breed.

how you gutload will of course impact nutritional values.

how to tell if you have a male or female hisser: https://www.chameleonforums.com/sexing-hissers-18557/
