Hibiscus syriacus, or freedom hibiscus questions

I found this plant at lowes and I couldn't find it on the safe plants list, is this plant ok? Thanks

Its classified the same as Rose of China, which is your typically found Hibiscus. Hibiscuses come in a wide variety, I dont know one thats toxic to chameleons.
