Hello Members, Have had my chameleon for over a week now, hes 3 and quite friendly, today i took him out for the first time, he was really nice but theres a problem, he climbes up onto my head and and i have the fear hes going to fall or bite my neck or even jump! He always seems like he has no grip and he is going to fall. What should i do?

Welcome to the community! What kind of cham did you get? You mentioned that he was 3. Years or months? :) Don't worry about him/her climbing to the top of the mountain. It's what they do. Keep focus of him and if he feels like he's slipping, be prepared to catch him. He probably won't jump, but again, keep focused!

My veiled is a total Evel Knievel. He will practically climb on the screen and wait for me to catch him, it's his way of manipulating me to play with him. Just go with the flow and make sure he is always secure. Welcome to the forums :)

Welcome! Dont worry so much :) They love being the highest place possible (your head) Just be prepared to catch him. If you don't catch him, make sure you check extensively for any injuries.

Hes a 3year old Male Yemen Chameleon, sometimes when i leave the room when i go out of the room, when i come back in hes all puffed up. Why

You may startle him. Unless he's basking, sometimes they get really tall, and really skinny to make themselves have more surface area. Just like sometimes when they're basking they get dark on one side.

welcome! my cham does that too (where she climbs up on my head). in fact, the other day, i finished my chainmail coif (hat) and was wearing it around for kicks and giggles and my cham decided she wanted to climb inside it too.. chams are the weirdest, but most awesome creatures! :p
