I have a Veiled Chameleon that was purchased as a classroom pet. The chameleon is now at my house, because the children were going past the "stop line" and I didn't want to stress the poor thing out. Now that I have it here, the chameleon is in a quiet room and loves it. I am pretty sure it is a girl, because it doesn't have the "spurs", but I am not for sure. I have had "Liz" for about 4 months, and I was told she was about 2-3 months old when I bought her. I had a Jackson chameleon when I lived in Hawaii, and he was much easier to handle. He loved coming out of his cage and even eating out of my hands. Liz, she likes to be left alone and just sit in her cage. I love having a chameleon, but I wish Liz was more social like my other chameleon was.

I have been consider selling her, but am nervous about selling her to just anyone. My husband is not too excited to have Liz at the house, and would rather her be sold.

I will try posting some pictures in a minute, if I can get it to work.

Hi and welcome! That cage doesn't look to adequate with all the moss and seems a little thin. Look at the chameleon care bar to the left of this post for the different topics of care, it will help you decide if you want to keep her or not.

welcome to the forum.

she's cute. if you decide to keep her, you will find loads of very helpful information here. But chameleons are typically not pets that like to be handled, they are not good classroom pets (IMHO), and they can be somewhat difficult to properly care for. So if you are not fully committed and really want her, selling her (or giving her) to someone who knows what chameleons need is a good plan.
