I had already posted an emergency question earlier today, but I think it's still good to introduce myself.

My name is Zinzy, and together with my fiancé I have a six-month-old veiled chameleon named Thomas. We only got him yesterday. I had been thinking of getting a chameleon for a few years, but living in a dorm made the decision not to get one a bit easier. My fiancé had always wanted bearded dragons, but caved for a group of brothers and sisters at the pet store two weeks ago.

In the next few years, I really want to learn a lot about keeping a pet reptile. I am totally new at it. I came here because I feel many written sources are saying many different things, and because the salesperson at my pet store didn't really seem to know anything about veiled chameleons. I hope that, from time to time, I'll learn something interested here and get answers to questions I'll have.

You are in the right spot to learn about chams. This site is fantabulous!

There is even conflicting info on here. But most of it is good info, just from different points of view and different experiences. But that is a good thing. Not like the info from most pet stores and many other sites that come off sounding like they really know their stuff but are just giving out bad info.

I hope you find this forum as invaluable as I have, but not for the same reason (I had a VERY sick cham with major health issues).
