I just wanted to see who weas going to get out there and vote today.

If you already have how long were the line?

Please no issue discussion or Political conversations on this thread.

Go America!!!!!

I will be voting today at 1 PM in California.

I cannot believe how many people are lined up to vote. This is awesome stuff. We all have a chance to express ourselves.

I may sound like a nerd but I will be up all night watching the results.

Get out and Vote!!

The reason I personally wouldn't go vote is because I'm lazy, and I would cover my laziness with the excuse that there's no real good candidate anyway.

So to those who would share my flaws, I'd argue that we're not voting for a good candidate, we're voting for the best. And not voting at all is still a vote for apathy!

Vote!

I have been living in the US for 8 years now. I am an Australian citizen...I wish I could vote and have my say in the country I now call home but I cant :(

On the bright side I have given time off to all my staff that wanted to go and vote and out of the 16 people they all took up the offer :D

they probably not even voting they just want off haha i wont vote because im lazy but ill be the first to complain about the government and im not alone lol

I always vote with an absentee ballot. No lines and I get time to look up referendums to see if yes means no or no means yes.

i am going right now >.< i am trying to miss the lunch line that should be there. Tonight is the big pancake supper for kiwanis club here as well :p so we get to eat pancakes and wait for results

should you choose to not vote then you have no right to whine about anything to do with the government for the next 4 years. trying to c-y-a with an excuse is just lame.

Very good point Chad!

I just voted took like 5 min. No one in line.

I feel extra American today. :D

Does this mean that since I voted, I have the right to whine for 4 years (based on the way this election is unfortunately going to probably go)?

There's a political thread going on at Kingsnake.com if anyone is interested. It appears that Kingsnake has endorsed Obama. Personally I think it's a joke that someone like Kingsnake, having nothing to do with politics, would endorse someone; all it does is piss off half or more of his users. When one considers the potential power of a democratic president, senate and congress combined with liberal organizations that fight all of our favorite hobby (PETA, Sierra Club, Greenpeace etc), we might all be keeping pet goldfish in the coming years.

No offense to the liberal among us.... Just making the point.

Yup.
As a friend of mine put it: If you don't vote you're basically saying that you think your fellow citizens are smart enough to make the choice for you.

Go voting - it's what makes a country a democracy!

/would definitely vote if I was a US citizen - though I admit that I haven't made the effort to vote in any Dutch election since I moved to the States.
