Henry hates water

My Chameleon hates water. Every time the MistKing kicks in he runs away into a corner lol. The funniest thing but I'm not sure if he's drinking or not. Im usually out so I don't really see him drink. He eats a ton though and I gut load crickets with apple slices and crack.

If his urates are nice and white and his eye turrets are nice and full he's drinking. Most chams don't like It. It took mine 3 months to get used to it. He now tolerates.. he probably gets huffy puffy runs and hides and when it stops he comes out to drink.

If you are spraying him when he is basking and trying to raise his blood temp., then yeah, I guess he would not like that very much

I've heard of some people heating the water in their misters. I put hot water in my hand mister and my veiled loves it. regular water comes out real cold

LOL!! what sort of invironment is your cham in and how often do you poke your hand in front of him to handle?

Do you have any kids running around, other animals, people who smoke, anyting that can give him an attitude? loud noises, junk like that?

He should not get huffy when you are near him if you are slow and gentle.

Try singing to him that's what I do. They tend to respond to it in a positive way (I do have a good singing voice though!!)

Also, if you really want to win him over, slowly hand feed him a nice fat wax worm!! they are the cham equivilant of a nice big slice of cheesecake!

lol hes in the greatest environment a chameleon could be in I treat him very well and give him good stuff. He loves to listen to dubstep and rock most of the time :roll eyes: Not too much traffic just me. When i get near him he climbs away and heads in the other direction. Let it be known he is only about 3 months old and I've only had him for 2 weeks so I let him be in peace. I will try to feed him a wax worm by the way thanx.

Dont worry, he will get used to you being around and wont bother to move
away from you any more.
Let him slowly get used to your hands being in his cage but dont try to touch him.

Yeah, do the waxworm trick the way I did and see what he does

Chameleons don't have ears and I have read several sources that state they are generally considered deaf. Although they may respond to very low frequencies, the human voice at 1khz is most likely too high. So if you have a good voice or not your chameleon won't mind if you sing

Get an aquarium heater in the watersource, cold water generally ticks them off.
