Hi, I`ve just rescued a young male yemen chameleon, (1-2 years old) and he seems to have a lot of problems. Firstly on each side he has white patches of skin with dark patches in the middle. I`ve been told this could be scale rot or just unshedded skin thats turned nasty. Along his spines on his back it is all crusty and looks horrible. I`m not too sure what to do with him as I`ve never had a chameleon before and I believe he`s been suffering with these problems since christmas. I`ve also been told that they`ve never dusted his live food with calcium and he`s never been given any greens to eat. He`s eating locusts and seems happy enough but he looks underweight. Do you think I shold take him straight to a vet or is there anything that i can buy from a shop that could help? Thank you, Natalie
