Hi all,

My Viv build is nearly finished its 48 inches high, 36 wide and 18 deep made from wood. The top is aluminium mesh and has two long vents along the bottom which should provide good ventilation.
The inside has been hand painted as a jungle scene and sealed with yacht varnish. The floor has been sealed and has a drain fitted which drains into the cupboard below.

The from has two sliding glass doors. I have built it into a unit that stands about 40 inches from the floor.

What I would like to know is what size, make, wattage uv I should use?
Also I want to use the exo terra lamp reflector for the basking light, what size should I use?

I will post pics of the build soon but help with these last few bits would be great thank you.

I'd get a 48 inch t5 for UVB keep it nice an bright in there and I use the zoo med deep dome so what ever size they are would be good but you can use what ever size you want really

I have a little nosy be panther comming in a week or so, I just want to have everything up and running ready for him. Also what temps should I be aiming for?

Your sizes are similar to mine. I use Arcadia t5 with reflecter. 48 inch. It's very bright but you get used to it and they say you don't have to change it for a year.
Are you putting the basking light on top of mesh.? Be careful it's high enough that it won't burn him as the mesh will get hot.:D

Yes the basking light will sit above the mesh, im hoping I can keep the basking spot low enough that he will not be able to touch the mesh. How often do you recommend misting? Thank you
