Help with shedding?

Is it okay to remove the last bits of skin after a shed? My Panther is about a year old and I have never had the skin not come off fully. It has been about a week since he finished shedding and I am so tempted to pick the last bit of skin off of him. Is that okay to do?

No, do not remove pieces. They will come off as they loosen fully. If you pick you risk pulling something that is still attached. Do not mist him directly either as they are dry shedders.

Okay, thanks. I have an automatic misting system, so sometimes it gets him when it goes off every 2 hours. Could that be why some pieces are stuck?

It could be... But also it takes longer for clean sheds when they get older. The only time we step in is when it involves the shed constricting blood flow. Can happen on toes and tails.
