Help With My Feeding.....

Can any tell me about how many crix's a day I should be feeding my 3.5-4 month old panther cham? The pet store told me about 5-6 per day but I have read elsewhere it should be 10, I dont want to over feed and I def. dont want to underfeed.

Also any recommendations on other feeders and how I can introduce them to my cham?

Thanks in advance for the advice!

Hello, i use the it's a baby so it gets what it wants. I don't toss in a million at a time but I would give it 8 or 10 and if those disappear another 5 or 6 will follow into the container. make sure the cage isn't too big so the little one can't find food. As for other food items small silk worms are usually a big hit, so are super small roaches but I will only cup feed those as I just can't have roaches running all over a cage - or worse. Any more questions and we will try to help, it is always good when we get them off to a proper start.:)

Totally agree! :D Feed those babies as much as they want in "1 feeding". You don't want to feed them all day, only in the am so they have time to bask and digest their food. ;)

Awesome I will start that. I usually feed right in the morning and by noon when I come home for lunch the 5 or 6 are gone already! Would it be ok to throw in another 3-4 at lunch then too?

Also, how do I teach my cham how to cup feed? Has never been on it before and I would like to hand feed but wont really take to it. Any ideas? Thanks!

YES

You can get a small tupperware/glad container about 1-2 inches high and place it right under a branch so the cham can be on top of the container shooting down. Otherwise he might try to shoot from the side and get frustrated. The small crickets can really jump, so I pull off at least one of their back legs to eliminate that problem. You may need to hold the feeder cup up to him the first time or two so he gets use to it. Let us know how if works out.
