HELP? Sting or infection?

My veiled chameleon Jerry has a sudden large bump by his nose. Not sure if it's a bite/sting or some type of infection. Does anyone know? The other thing I noticed is his stomach looks a little bloated. Any help until I can get him to the vet would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I’m not a vet…but I would say infection. I would take Jerry to a good chameleon vet to have it checked U will likely need to get it cleaned out and get a test to see what bacteria is involved so Jerry can be put on an appropriate antibiotic.

Hi and welcome! I am not veiled experienced personally, just through the forum but I believe that is an infection in the nose or eyes and needs a vet asap. I also suspect Jerry is a jerri female. She may be holding eggs so that explains her chubby look. Hopefully an experienced keeper chimes in as well.

She definitely looks gravid….I hope she’s not eggbound. Does she have a lay in in the cage? I see a lot of dirt, but I can’t see how big it is.

Petsmart told me Jerry was a boy. I thought it looked like a female so I made sure to put in chameleon dirt, over 6 inches of dirt, just in case but no eggs yet. Unfortunately my vet can't get Jerry in until Friday.

Go to a vet, Jerry may have that swelling lanced to remove the swelling and put on antibiotics. Jerry should be okay till Friday.
