Little fella did not survive. He was looking good when I left for work yesterday morning at 5am, he was moving well and color was lighter and more like the adults. Got home around 5pm, his color was a lot better but I noticed his back legs seemed to be dragging just a bit, it was hardly noticeable at the time but I did take note of it. I got up this morning at 5 and he was gone. My initial reaction was maybe we injured him but I can't think of a time where we handled him directly, I was concerned that we would hurt him if we did because he was so small.
I put him under my Magnifier and it looks like his spine had a small but sharp curve to the right directly in front of his back legs. I looked him over well when he hatched and there is no doubt in my mind that it was not like that. But given the fact that he did have other birth defects I'm thinking life was just never in the cards for this little guy.
