To what purpose? If his temps have been good, I wouldn't change anything.

just fed him a hornworm and he got it first try and i saw the bad eye. it looks more covered in debris and he could barely open it, eye infection?

You could gently drip some sterile water or saline over it. That’s what I did with Jack when his eyes got crusty. If his eyes were really crusty, I’d drench a q tip and extremely gently try to remove the crusts, only around the eye…not the eye itself.

I lured him out with a hornworm to check up on him, it just looks like maybe his eye swollen shut or the stuff hardened. Either way I'm sure it can be taken care of on Thursday. The amazing thing is... He can still eat!

That's fine. IDK if the plant is needed; when the box is closed up, your cham should just fall asleep.
I think I'd at least secure the plant so it doesn't tip or spill during the trip.
