help, panther chameleon acting weird

as u can tell from the title my chameleon is acting weird


he's been chewing as his hibiscus and if i take him out of his cage he turns really happy and if i put him back in he gets stressed and i just recently caught him eating the plant in his cage luckily its not toxic (im pretty sure, its a hibiscus) and he hasnt dine this before is this teething or not help

No, he sounds like he is fine. Some chameleons(not so much panthers) will eat the plants and vegetation that is offered to them. As long as the plant is safe, he is fine. He probably does not like being in his cage and is happy when he is out. My chams are much happier outside of their cages than in. They are usually darker in color when they are caged. up.
