Help! Our Chameleon is laying Brown Clear Eggs?

BTW, your "unknown" snakes Equinox and Solstice are ball (aka: royal) pythons, Python regius. A nice smaller sized beginner python. Max out at about 4' long, generally docile. Lots of good information on care available online too.

We knew that they are ball pythons, thanks though. Our system doesn't allow us to choose what type of snake they are. We have a snake expert that visits us frequently.

what is a slug?

To clarify. Female chameleons in general pass eggs whether or not they are mated. Your female Jacksonii Xanthopholus is one of few live bearing species. They carry there young inside, and expel them in a sticky sac. The sac sticks to a random branch/leaf, and the miniature size chameleon pops out and starts its life. Its somewhat rare (at least in captivity) for them to pass unfertilized eggs or "slugs", but it does happen. It is not an indicator of a health issue. So no need to worry;)

Their you go!

lol in my head unfertilized egg and slug did not register as the same thing. I thought they were seperate terms and that a slug was like a baby chameleon that didnt make it to term

I believe that if a less than fully developed baby was dropped, it would be referred to as a slug as well.

Thats just a generic term though that gets thrown around.

Oh ok, theres got to be a better term than a slug. slugs are disgusting and we are comparing it to possibly what was a baby cham.

It def looks like a jackson. If it were a veiled, it would have had a small casque. And veileds look different in the face
