I'm not an expert, but I also think your biggest problem are temps and humidity. You may even want to switch to 25w bulb. With lower temps, humidity should stay higher for longer.
What kind of substrate do you use? Substrate are not recomended at all. Paper towers are best. Are you sure he haven't pooped yet? Maybe you havent noticed if your substrate is dark?
