Help mist king going crazy!!

They can be persnickety. First time I programmed it, all went well. Second time, after I messed things up by pressing the wrong button to mist manually, it took me 2 days (most of which was frustration).
I had to reset (pressing up & down buttons tiogether for 5 sec. IIRC) several times & start over.

One of the problems was I messed the timing up and didn’t know how to reset it so I could start over so thank you keyed o scope for that and thank you miss skittles for the video. I appreciate the help!

Is it okay to have the mist king go off while the lights are on? I aimed the nozzle downward but it still sprays near my uvb light

The nozzles have a fairly wide angle, but you should still be able to aim them such that they don't hit the ceiling.

The plant light I use is waterproof, but IDT the UVB fixtures are.

How many nozzles are you running?

That could be tough. The only way I've seen one nozzle work in a 24 x 24 x 48 is if the single nozzle is at the center of the top and pointed straight down, which should solve your problem. To get the nozzle there will be tricky without a custom part to support it. If the tubing runs inside the enclosure, chameleons like to climb on it.

I'd welcome input from anyone else who's done it.

Before I ordered my MK, I contacted both MK and the enclosure mfr. to ask how many nozzles to use, and both said at least 2 for that size enclosure. They said 4 for my double-wide, but I did figure out a way to use only 3.

Well I was lucky to get one in there and I am happy with that. I already installed it in the top left front corner so that’s where it’s staying! Lol!

When I first set up, I used just a single nozzle and it worked just fine. I angled it towards the center from a corner so it had a pretty good span of spray.

How often should I set mine to go off?
I started by manually turning the mister on until water began running off the plants and down into the drain pan. No sense in wasting any more water, so this is my duration time. Coincidentally, it's 2 minutes.

Then I timed how long it took to completely dry out, because it should completely dry out at times.
That took 3 hours.

I don't need/use a fogger, so currently, I'm misting for 2 min. at 6am (lights on) noon, 6pm (lights out), 9pm, midnight, 3am, rinse, repeat.

Your saturation & dry out times may vary, but I hope you can see the method in my madness. 🤪
