A local pet store has four young veiled chameleons housed in one of those setups that is a screen cage area to set on top of a 10g tank (don't know the measurements, it's essentially two 10g tanks ontop of one another)
under it, there's a 12" cube exo-terra style cage labeled "perfect for chameleons!" they're selling the veileds for $125
putting all that aside (since people will probably buy them anyway)
there's one female in the cage that I saw last night, clinging to a branch with only three legs (I couldn't tell if it was hurt, or if she for some reason was just letting it dangle) her eyes sunken in, dehydrated, and she wouldn't open her left eye.
How do I badger them into giving her to me?
What have you done that's been successful?
