Help me figure out my chameleons age.

So about two weeks ago I received my Panther Chameleon from a breeder who told me his age was about 3 months old but the more I look at other chameleons I feel like I was lied too. I believe that my chameleon is closer to 5 months old based on the coloring and size. Can any one else help me figure this out?

I know the first image is dark but that's him sleeping in my hand. And the other one is him eating out of a cup which is a red solo cup to help with size comparison.

I've got a panther that's about 5 months old who looks older than yours but if you look in my pics on my profile page you could get an idea because I took pics each month from one month up to 5. He does look a little older than 3 months to me though. But maybe not quite 5 months

Hard to tell. I could imagine he may be around the three to four month range if he has colored up a little early. He looks to be in good shape.....not sure why a breeder would lie to you about the age. If he were five months instead of three...that's just a more established cham and that would be better for you not him. Merry Christmas!!

I agree with you jpowell. All chams are so different and they develop so differently. I would see panthers that were around a month where they were showing dull color and stripes and I'm thinking why is mine just a dull brownish green but then he turned out to have tons of color a couple months later. I truly believe each cham is different and they all develop at different rates. Either way, you are going to have a very handsome boy. Mine had those very light colors around 4 months and then they very quickly started to get very bright. Even if he's not the age you anticipated, he will still be very handsome and I don't think he's 5 months yet so hes still pretty young. I don't really understand why a breeder would lie about just a month or two especially when its in his benefit to sell it as a baby. I think it's around 4month's but either way be happy. He's going to be gorgeous.
