Help!!! Ill Chameleon? URGENT!

No he said its better for us to get womens calcium supplements as it has higher dosage and thats what he needs right now.

Did your vet know chameleons? I would think he would need liquid calcium plus a shot to draw the calcium to the bones.

IMHO, to get the calcium levels up the quickest, your chameleon should be getting injections of calcium. When the blood calcium levels are high enough it can be given a shot of calcitonin to draw the calcium back into the bones quickly.

Are the women's supplements liquid??

yeah he knows his stuff he has been recommended on here by a couple of people and he gave us a number of a lady who breeds chameleons she has been really helpful. The supplements are tables so having to grind them up for him.

Hi all update on george we took him the vets. Vet said he has broken his back and legs saying it is most likely a genetic thing. So we have him in a little box so he cant move, vet said we caught him early as his jaw hasnt dropped yet and thats when we will most likely lose him. Tried feeding him a variety of things today not eaten so he hasnt eaten for two days. If im honest i dont see him pulling through i feel so sorry for our little guy as he is a darling. Vet says if we get him back to full health he will be able to cope with the breaks but obviously not as great as before.

No clacium injections?????? This doen't sound good to me!

Well i said that to my mum as it is her chameleon and she took him and she was even suprised he didnt give him anything like that. But he is the vet you know so gonna have to go on what he suggests.
