My female panther chameleon has laid 2 batches of eggs the first in september and second in november, i think she is now laying a third. i noticed her in a tunnel yesterday at around 4pm and it is now 2pm the next day. she has had her eyes closed the whole time so i tried to check she was still alive by tuching her, when i touch her there is a slight responce but she hardly moves and does not open her eyes. it looks like the tunnel may have collapsed around her body but im not sure. please help whould i dig her out or leave her?

I think if you think she's dying get to a vet. If she looks like she did the last 2 times then you will probably be ok. I don't really know. I don't want give conflicting advice but :confused: sorry.

Ok shes climbed out of the laying bin has returned to her normal colours and i have been keeping a close eye on her, i havnt been able to see if she looks like shes laid as im trying not to disturb her. she is now back in her laying bin but i dont want to keep looking to see if she is digging.

If the tunnel collapses on her it means the substrate is either too wet or too dry and she should be rescued immediately. If she will not lay eggs on her own then she will need vet attention asap for egg binding.

The substrate is ok it did not collapse she just dug a snug fit hole, i am unsure weather she is going to continue laying but it looks like she is, she is back in her bin and looking around. luckily she is a very docile cham and dosnt mind being handled unlike my others so hopefully she isnt to disturbed by me disrupting her.

Im going to leave her overnight and see how she is because at the moment she appears well and pretty much back to how she is after laying.

She has abandoned the old tunnel and not filled it in though she has been near it since.

Should i offer her food and water as she is still pottering about her bin?
