veiled chameleon, male, 6 months of age in my care for 5 month
I handle my chameleon 2 times a week
I feed my chameleon 6 crickets by hand every other dayand I use repti-calcium with d3 once a week and zoo med multivitamin once a week and zoo med calcium without d3 every feeding I use a spray bottle and I spray him 4 times a day for 1 minute yes I see him drink
His poop Is black with white liquid around it and it is a soft consistency no he was not tested for parasites
No history I just got him at a reptile show
I have a reptibreeze screen cage and it is 16x16x 36
I have a zoomed basking build 75 watt and a zoomed 5.0 uvb bulb his lights are on 14 hours a day
The highest heat is 90 degrees and the middle is 78 degrees and the low is 70 degrees the lowest temp is 70 degrees I use a zoomed temperatur probe
The humidity in his cage is usually around 75 percent and I use a small hydrometer at the top of his cage I spray his cage down with water 4 times a day
I use a parlor palm and golden pothos
His cage is located in a corner in front of my bed and there is a heater for the room behind the cage not near any loud or high traffic area, the top of the cage is about five feet from the ground
I live in the southeastern part of Pennsylvania
My chameleon about a week ago had started to refuse eating. Then his colors turned all speckled and black. And today i noticed his eyes are sunken and his grip is weak. Also when he is in his cage I find him in the bottom of it.
