Hi all!! I am new to the forum and urgently need some advise on my chameleon 'Colin'.....
We have had him about 6 months now and to date not had any probs what so ever. For some strange reason he has totally lost his apetite apart from eating wax worms every now and then. Is this normal for chameleons to be so stubborn or just plain lazy? :) Is there is a way of tempting / making them eat other things?.. and if so your advise would be greatly appreciated....!!?? Another thing we have noticed within the past couple of days is a strange lump on one of his eyes....it looks uncomfortable and its got to the point where he cant really open his eye...like i said im a bit concerned and dont really know what to do next. Never owned one before so your comments/ advise would be absolutely great!! Thanks again!! :D

I too would say its time for a vet. Usually when an animal stops eating there is cause for concern especially now that you have mentioned a secondary issue.

Thanks for your help and advice. Ive got him booked in at the vets now so fingers crossed! Will get some pics up of him soon :)

in the mean time, do you use UVB light at all in your enclosure?
If you do what kind of bulb you use please specify the brand (e.g Reptisun Zoomed, TZilla, and so on) and the exposure (like 5.0 or 10.0)?

Also is it compact or linear tube?

Here is what COMPACT looked like:

Here is another version of compact:

And Here is the LINEAR TUBE:
