I notice my cham climbing the roof of his habitat yesterday, so I got him down nd chopped his plants down so he can't get up there, now today I have noticed a small black mark on his belly which I'm guessing is a burn?? The mark is not seeping, nd he is eating drinking nd moving around as normal! Should I be worried? Il try upload pics of the mark ASAP
Thanks

It could just be a slight burn it tends to turn dark like blackish, i think u caught him just in time b4 he did some bad damage, i have a lamp clamped onto the side of my cage and it slipped down without me noticing good job i did notice at the time i did otherwise i would of fried him :( but he had a tiny black mark on the top of his head and one of his spines were black.. I got some reptiaid from the pet shop and applied that to the burn everyday and it's cleared it up nicely :)

My experience of a burn is have it looked at ASAP as you don't know how much damage has been done to the tissue underneath. Chams don't feel pain like we do and can act normally with burns present. Popeye behaved normally with his burn but lost his vibrant colour. It has taken months of treatment and several sheds for skin to return to normal after what I considered a small burn.

I did have him checked and the vet said that he was healing very well and all i used was reptiaid, post a pic up so we can have a look :)
