He also has some scabby area around his mouth and from time to time he drools. I know that all this is not normal and I am bound for the vet tomorrow pretty sure. Is all Creatures care cottage a good place they are the only exotic vet that I am aware of in my area. Any response would be helpful.

Hi there . Sorry your boy is sick. With your description of his illness it sounds as if he needs to see the vet. Orange urates is a sign of dehydration. It does suggest possibly RI or sinus infection which will need antibiotics. Do you see excess mucus in his mouth? Do you hear popping sounds when he breaths?

no so much popping but he does have mucus coming from his mouth. his urates is mostly white so I am not hydration is the total culprit but the RI is what I was thinking. Thank you vet tomorrow.

Bob does look very ill.
Look at his mouth--it appears to have yellow infected material on his gumline. This may also be the same problem that is causing the swelling next to his eye. Rather than a growth it may be an infection causing the bump.
He definitely needs a vet ASAP to have any chance of recovering.
Although plenty of vets are willing to treat your cham, not all of them are equally qualified to do so.

If any of these vets is near you, you would be wise to take him to one of them. Maybe emphasis on how ill your cham is will help you to get an appointment sooner.
Though there may also be others who are good with chams--these names come up often in a very positive way.

Vets who are members of ARAV have a special interest in reptile medicine and maybe the vet you know of is (or isn't ) a member.
If none of these is within reasonable distance, then you can search the forums for CA cham vets or have a look at the CA vets on the ARAV website

Hope things go well for Bob and you'll let us know.

No recommendations are needed apart from the vet. Hopefully you have one that knows reptiles....they will probably give an antibiotic. Probably Baytril. Definitely one for the vet to judge though.....good luck :)

Your little buddy definitely needs a trip to the vet. He looks like he has a mouth infection. And from what you describe he may also have an upper respiratory infection and is definitely dehydrated.

Get to a vet as soon as possible.

Good luck.

As stated, Vet trip. I don't know if I would do the liquid calcium unless directed to by the vet. Could do more harm than good. I'm thinking sinus infection or infection caused by an issue in the mouth, but a vet visit is needed for sure. Hope Bob gets better soon!

I can't tell you anything what may be the problem, but I will be praying Bob gets the help he needs and turns this thing around.

I'm not a vet but I've known Coccidia to have those symptoms and from the fecal description it could be something like that plus His mouth looks infected! Regardless, He should be seen by a vet! Hope He does well for you!

thanks for all the wishes. Bob will see Dr Greek tomorrow at 8:40 am he is tough and yes he is still eating and drinking but I know he is not doing well. I will keep everyone posted after tomorrow. Hopefully I get a good word.
