Help aging jackson

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me an age approximation on the male jackson picture I attached. I bought him over a month ago, and the pet store owner said he didn't know his age, and never gave me a guess. He is able to turn his neck/head area blue and yellow by the way.

Thank you in advance

He actually looks CB. I'd say 6-7 months?

You might want to fill this out :D:

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

Chameleon Info:

* Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
* Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
* Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
* Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
* Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
* Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
* History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:

* Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
* Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
* Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
* Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
* Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
* Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
* Location - Where are you geographically located?

and also, I would fill out the form, but I'm not having any problems at all with him. I've been using these forums since day one. It has been extremely helpful and my cham seems to be perfectly happy. I simply didn't know how old he was. Thank you though

He's very handsome. He's close to the size of the adult Jackson's I've seen, so, to me (worthless as this opinion might be) the 7 month suggestions seem very likely. Jackson's don't get big. Kudos on providing a picture that showed the size of your chameleon!

I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time with him.

He looks to be an adult. If you fill out the questions above we can make sure your husbandry is tip-top. Make sure with a good digital thermometer that your temps are not higher than low 80's in the basking spot-Jackson's like it cooler.

again with the wc jackson's?

just as a wild guess, i would say he is 8-10 months old. healthy full grown adults come in a fairly wide range of sizes, but he still has that sort of young look to him. i dont really know that there is any reliable way to tell the difference between wc&cb, other than the trust worthyness of the source you got him from. it might be interesting to see if yiou can get any info from the pet store in that regard . a wc is more likely to have parasite issues the a solo kept cb , at some point you may want to consider a fecal before co-mingling with other chams. not a bad idea anyway, especially if the place you got him is vague about his origin (and i suspect they will be)

I agree. Also to add to it, their horns are something to look at when telling age. If you look at some of Brad Ramsey's threads with pictures of his Juvi Xanthos, the horns stay fairly small, and now they are around eight months old, and he said in one of his post, that the horns are starting to grow to look more like an adult.

Xanthoman:
I can't exactly comment on the trustworthiness of the petstore, but they did have other chameleons there that were labeled as CB. If they are going to by lying, I would assume they would label all of their Chams as CB, so as not to scare people with parasites and things of that sort. And thanks for the mingling tip. So far, he has no one to mingle with, but I'll be sure to fecal screen before he does.

By the way, does anyone know exactly species/subspecies he would be? As I mentioned before he is able to turn head/neck area blue and yellow.
