Help 😬

I have a female veiled chameleon that is less than a year old... she always has stayed at the top of her enclosure, but for the past week, she hasnt left the surface of the enclosure ground. Her colors are still bright, but Im worried because this is not her normal behavior.
I thought perhaps she is getting ready to lay eggs but still hasnt as far as I know. I put a sand laying nest in her enclosure (which she sat in for about a day then returned to the ground, without ever trying to dig a tunnel).

I was neglegent to not do more research before getting her & have learned a lot since getting her, but I am in desperate need of any insight/advice pn why she is doing this/is she ok/what next steps I need to take.

Thank you to anyone who takes time to read this & help!

She is full of eggs... She needs to be able to lay them. I also think she may have MBD if so this is going to make it quite a bit harder on her to lay them successfully. Do you have any recent pics of her before she started trying to dig?
