Hi, I am new to the forum and also to keeping Chameleons.... I was looking for a category to introduce myself but couldn't find one, so apologies Mods if this is in the wrong place?

My name is Rachel and I live in Blackpool and today I have taken home my male Veiled Chameleon. I have read loads in the 2 months before getting him and have, hopefully, provided him with a home with exactly the conditions that he needs. He seems pretty chilled to be honest, and is wandering around his tank, climbing and eating, although his colours are still very dark (when entirely happy hes bright green and orange).

i am very new to this, despite my weeks of reading. I am not a novice reptile keeper, as we have had 3 mediterranean tortoises for about 12 years. I would really appreciate any help and again, I am sorry for posting this in the wrong place, but I couldn't see another category.

Hi and welcome to the forums! You should have posted in the "Lizard Lounge" but you didn't know. The mods will move it sooner or later! Congrats on your new chameleon and feel free to ask any questions you may have. We have a great community here with lots of knowledgeable keepers.
