Hey everyone!

I'm a Florida native living in South Carolina. I work full time and I've been in school part time working on becoming an xray technologist, and hopefully moving into MRI and nuclear medicine. My current hobby is growing orchids, I have 40 of them. I also own a chunky bay Tennessee walking horse that I've had for 13 years.

I'm here to stalk the forum basically, I don't own a chameleon, but I've wanted one for years now. I love going to reptile shows and looking at them all. I'm here mainly to read and learn from everyone's posts so that when the time comes that I'm ready to get one, I'll know a good bit about them. I'd like to get a chameleon one day, when my life isn't so busy with school.

Hope you don't mind me being a stalker while I learn from yall!

Welcome to the forum! You should post some pics of your Orchids :)

Welcome to the forum, I'm a newbie too. :) You're extremely smart to do your homework and wait until you have free time before getting a chameleon. I wanted one for many years before I recently got one. I'm glad I waited. If i had bought one 15 years ago, I don't think it would've gone so well. This forum has been fantastic for getting advice and learning. I don't think I would've even tried if I hadn't been able to read a lot of the care info that's posted here.
I'd love to see and hear about your orchid collection, too! I love plants. I only have one super common Phalaenopsis orchid. I recently bought a carnivorous pitcher plant, and LOVE it. A lot of the flightless fruit flies that escape my anole's cage end up being eaten by that plant, lol.

Oh I have quite the collection of orchids... I think I'm at 42 now.. Hehe! I have mostly vandaceous species (like my profile pic) they are the prettier and more unique, not to mention the easiest (to me) to take care of! I put them all in the bathtub in the winter, under lights... Usually watering them holds their humidity fine for a few days at a time.
I ALMOST got a chameleon years ago, and decided not to, so happy I didn't! I of course am in love with the panthers, they are so stunning! Thanks for the warm welcome!
