Heat pad on 24/7 for dubia?

I do it at all times. No problems yet, but then again, I just started breeding them. Maybe someone else will pop in here.

Ive never used a heating pad on mine, but if you want them to breed and grow at an optimum rate, they need to be at 85-90F all the time. So if thats what you want, and leaving it on gives you that, leave it on. If it gets too hot, youd want to turn it off I would think...

What do you use?

your goal, as Snake said, is to keep them in the 85-90F range...

if that means you need it 24/7, then keep it on 24/7; its the temperature that matters, you can vary how long your heat mat is on to obtain the right temp.

I keep mine in a very large aquarium with a tank heater on the bottom and 2 60w heat emitter's, all are on 24/7. Mine breed like - well like dubia.:D
