For the past week my boy will only poop outside of his cage. I open the door to feed him and he climbs out super fast and poops. He paces around the cage and tries to poke his way through the screen, then when I finally open the door he does it. Why wont he do it in his cage? Can I train him to stop doing it? Ik hes not a dog, but you never know:rolleyes:

Well id be lucky if.my cham did that I would just make a little toilet for her lol and dispose of the poo:D kind of like letting your dog out but make sure his aim isn't off haha

Do you have a panther and how big is your cage.
How much foliage, branches, etc do u have in there?

Some chams dont like to poop close to where they eat and hang out.

Mine goes to the bottom of his cage and poops on the floor always in the same spot.

Chams dont generally like to foul up their own living quarters.

Lucky!

I'd love to just wipe poop off of the floor every day!

He is a 6 m.o panther, He is in a 2x2x4, Theres alot of foliage on the bottom, and middle, but not much on top, he never sits and chills in his plant though, he is always in the open, lol i thought you were kidding, but now that i think about it, the toilet is actually a good idea, how can i get him to use it? He has also been climbing from a fake plant i have outside of his cage onto the ground, then he walks around, could he be looking for a girl?

He may want a mate or want to explore do you take him outside any? Id say if he's.smart enough not to do it in his cage.hell probably be smart enough to find the toilet :)

Ya i take him out a few times a week, oh and his junk :p was hanging out today for like two seconds, could that be a sign he wants to mate?

Thorium goes anywhere and everywhere in his cage. He has yet to develop a specific spot, and he's nearly a year old. No respect I tell you! :p
