It would make my life much easier if I could just put feeders in a plastic
cup and stick it somewhere in the cage, but Smeagol (my juvie veiled male) wont have anything to do with it.
I have to take each crick and place it on a high branch or leaf and hope they
dont fall or hop to the floor and be lost forever to hide in the newspaper!!

Smeagol likes to pick them off one by one on the branches!!

I would like to train him to eat out of a bowl, and when they are this young is the time to train.

So, can anyone give me some tips on how I can do it???

Neither of my Veileds took to cup feeding very easily either. What worked for me was using a big enough flower pot (fill in the drainage holes) so crickets can be seen moving around.
And then stick a few mealworms in. They went for those from a cup alright, so I knew it would be a matter of just waiting until they were hungry enough to eat.
Having said that, my female still usually ignores her feeding cup so 90% of what she eats is now hand fed..........

i guess i got lucky the first day i showed spartacus a cup with a few dusted crickets and he poked his head in and gobbled them up ive had no problem since only problem ive run into is he decimates every cricket in there within in a few minutes and i put a good 12-15 in there at a time

I put salad in a shallow ramekin (sauce pot) and Teal'c gobbles it up! I also use one for worms and she seems to like it! She just goes and puts her arms on either side, sticks her head in there and muches away. Maybe try using something more wide and shallow so your cham can see them moving around.:)
