Im not a fan of spiders, but I cant help but be intrigued by what youve posted. What are they like captive?

They are a rush to be honest with you. Especially that big P. ornata I posted. Every single time I clean out her cage I almost get bit, and a bite from this species is really bad

Wow, that amazes me that you can have them as pets then. Weird.

Are there more docile species?

And stepping on one creeps me out more than having one as a pet I think.

The new world species are. They are the ones that kick hairs at you most of the time. The old world species are the ones that will mess you up lol.

I just want to look into them more because Im fascinated. Whats a new world species that is a common pet?

A G. rosea is new world species and extremely docile. This is a very old picture of mine. She died last year.

Haha, i just did a search on them and i found a thread on a forum about people stories of getting bit by them. That was enough to turn me off of the idea of ever owning one! lol

sadly.. im okay with that! I seen blue morphs i would love to see one at a zoo but not my house. my mom threatens to get one and come after me with it cus i have chameleons in her house but it would be gone before she got it in the house
