He finnally arrived!

I notice my crix crawl up the plants to bask under the light, it's funny.

I am still worried about him eating, I keep putting crix in, and they must be getting eaten cause I can never find any at night when I get home, but I stil worry, I just don't want him to die or anything!

I can't find any poop. I found what looked like urate at the bottom, no poop though it was only the white stuff. Other than that I don't see any poop, but i have really looked either, I am going home from work in about an hour, ill let you guys know the results of my poop search. :D

My cham has not really moved since sunday, he is staying in the same general area, climbing around alot in that area, but not going anywhere near the basking area, and I havent seen him eat.

I put a lower wattage bulb in, now the basking spot is about 78 instead of 80, but he hasnt moved yet.

I have also noticed he seems to close his eyes alot.. what could be wrong? humiditiy and temps are fine.

He doesn't seem to like crix, they walk right in front of him and he does nothing.

I did a hand test today, I stuck my hand in there slowly, held a meal worm dusted in calcium w/d3 in front him him, and nothing, he looked at it, didnt get dark or anything, just sorta chilled, so I put it on the leaf right in front of him, and left for about 2 hours, and when I came back he was turned around , but didnt eat the worm.

SO no dark poop parts? I don't want to panic you, as I am thinking Leon did not eat much for a few weeks after I got him, but there were dark poop parts. Are you absolutely certain of the temp in your cage? Do you have a digital thermometer, maybe another one so you can make sure the first one is right??? Are you using 1/4" crickets? I would dump 15 in there and let him go. I still worry about the glass cage getting too hot, that will certainly cause them to go lethargic. Maybe take the heat lamp off and use only the UVB as long as the cage is in the mid 70's.

I have 4 thermometers, 2 digital (1 in basking spot, 1 at other end) and 2 of those ones you just stick to the cage.

I found some dark poop I think, but it almost looks like soil from the plant, there are little white parts by the dark spots, would it seperate like that?

I put in 10-15 crix in the morning, and when I get home at night I can count at least 5.

The basking area is about 77-78, the rest of the cage is 68-75.

He seems to be healthy though, he is ALWAYS bright green, and even seems to glow at night when he sleeps. He has a dark stripe down his side though, is this normal?

I took this pic, I dont think he likes my cell phone, he kinda puffed up when he say it.

He looks fine-dark stripe is normal, and yes the dark poop parts and dry up and separate. If you can't find those other crix he must be eating them...

Ahh I see, that would make sense if I thought it was soil from theplant? What is the urate supposed to look like? There are little white things on the bottom, and they wernt there before.
