he fell!

I was bringing my cham in from a little sun bathing and he got startled and just fell!! I am 5 ft. 6. He was not as high as my head but maybe to the base of my neck. What should I be looking for???? Would he be automatically showing signs of injury, etc.? What are signs???

i wouldnt be super worried because in the wild they fall and they are basically made to take a long fall. he should be ok. just check on him thru the night.

mine likes to base jump from time to time. hes fallen about 6 foot befor and has not shown any problems except for maby a little retardation . he was in my pothos ivy hanging from the celing and was at the top and had no where else to go. i heard a thump and looked over and he was on the floor. i put him back in the ivy and watched him and he did it again i thought he had fallen but nope he jumped !

Yes, they do jump, take a look on You Tube their are jumping chameleons, one guy films his cham getting to a taller tree which is def not reachable by launching its self into the leaves below and running like a whippet to get to the other tree, he shows that it was just not a one off by putting back on the tree he obviously didn't like and without fail jumped out of it every time.
