Haze, my new kinyongia multituberculata!!

He wasn't even displaying these bright colours until a few days after I got him.
Hopefully that means he likes his new home.

Hey!! Those are some better pics!:) You are right, he does seem a bit under weight but not horribly. I would feed a little extra than the schedule I gave you in the other thread and see if he starts to bulk up but not too quickly.

He does have some nice coloring! I bet he acclimates well for you. I would say he is not full grown yet but doesnt have a ton more to grow.

Congrats on owning one of the chameleons that comes from the greatest genus..........KINYONGIA!!:D

Will do. Ill give him 2 or 3 crickets on the days that he would previously not have been fed, and then six (as you suggested) every other day.

He does seem like he's doing really well! He is VERY active, eats like a pig and drinks a ton. He doesn't seem to mind handling, but maybe it's because I only do it when he starts 'pawing' at the front of his enclosure.

Kool! I'm very happy to know that he's younger then I was told, it just means I have more time to spend with him.

Also, I deffinitly understand your interest in this genus. They have completely got me back into the whole reptile scene and I don't see myself getting out any time soon.

Hopefully I can find him a lady freind in the near future. And maybe, under the guidance of the more experienced keepers, breed these fantastic creatures!

That is how I would go about feeding him. See how that works out after a short period and adjust accordingly.

Being super active is one of my favorite parts of this species and some of the others in the genus. The animals I had were definitely some of the easier to deal with when the time came to handle but still not very appreciative about it LOL. My male would paw at the cage a lot when I first got him. He was a captive hatched specimen also. I gave him a bigger cage with more cover and he settled right down. If you notice him pawing often I would try more cover and or a bigger cage.

You know, on the forums I have only seen male specimen from keepers in Canada. Where are all those females at:confused:!!! From what I hear, they are not a hard species to breed. My friend has my old pair and they have bred with eggs incubating. Waiting almost a year for eggs to hatch is pretty tough though:D

Yea, haze definitly doesn't love being handled, but he doesnt seem to completely hate it either (unless you force him to come out, for cleaning etc).

I'm taking a trip to the pet store tommorow, so ill pick up a few more plants for extra cover. If he continues, I'll just get him a bigger cage.

"Where are all those females at?"
I know! I havent seen any either... then again I am a newb when in comes to chams. But hey, If I can't end up finding a female, I'll just try to seek out another kinyongia species. Imagine I was able to get my hand on a k. tenuis..... When I first saw these guys I instantly wanted one. They're colours are border line bioluminescent!

Hey, got your message. I agree, his weight looks good enough -- nothing requiring emergency mega-feeding. I have several girlfriends for him right here, btw.
