hates me,loves my friend!

So Neelix has decided he doesn't like me- if I put my hand in his cage he fires up, starts hissing & swaying, etc. If I put silkworms on my fingers he stays fired up while he zaps them off me! as if he's saying "just because I like them, doesn't mean I like you"

My best friend is a Neelix's number 1 fan, she came over today so I got him out to say hello. I covered my hands with my jumper sleeves and scooped him up, he was hissing away. I bring him over to her & he instantly turns all his best colours- greens, blues, yellows & behaves like an angel, sitting on her hand, climbing her. Then when I went to put him back in his cage he didn't want to go! He usually I hates being out. I think he loves her lol Wish he loved me a bit more...

It could just be that he doesnt like anyone but once he's out he wants to be not on the 'evil' one who made him leave his home. Next time your friend is over see what happens when they put their hand in the cage. Does your friend look drastically different than you?

Also, it says you have a cat. Maybe the scent on you or being around stresses him out.

perhaps he does think I'm evil, afterall I'm the one who sprays him with water 4 times a day lol My friend can hand-feed him without him hissing, which makes me bit jealous lol She looks very different from me & wears different style clothes, maybe she's easy on the eye!

see if you friend can pick him up or get him out of the cage with ease. that will be the true test. I agree with Pssh, once they are out of the cage their personalites can be nicer.
