Hatchling verrucosus

Don't see these CH too often, Furcifer verrucosus, Madagascar (Giant) Spiny Tailed Chameleon. Here's one at about two hours old. Had a clutch start popping early today. Same size as panther hatchlings with the same incubation protocols and duration. These are two shots of the same animal. Enjoy !

Fool, they dont get rainbow colored as the panthers do but when older they look very very cool. Some may say ugly but I think they look KICK @$$!

Appearance

Here are some pictures of sub-adults that are what is expected in adult coloration. Someone asked how many eggs, and in this clutch, the number was 24. They were also a clutch that was laid on top of the dirt, showing that if collected promptly, and then cared for normally, hatch is still possible.
