Hatching pygmy egg, worried mommy.

I went to check on my only surviving brev egg and seen it looking rather deflated. My heart dropped, I thought it had got mold like the other three. But then I noticed something black poking out the top. It appears to be a little mouth, but I've been staring at it for thirty minutes and they has been no movement! Do you think it didn't have enough strength to make it any further out of the egg? How long should I wait till I give up hope for the little guy?:(

let it be, most of the time they just sit there with their heads pokin out for as long as 4 hrs or so. Dont just stay there watching because if they see u most of the time they just end up playing dead for a while then it just gets annoying because he still wont want to get out... Leave it alone for a few hours. If was ment to be then ull check up on it and he will have fully explored the container at which time u can take him out.

Thanks, I'm just getting ready to pull my hair out already. I can't see anything but the tip of his mouth. I'll just leave it be and hope for the best.

they keep their noses out for air while they suck up the remainder of the yolk... just check up every hour or so

i forgot to mention to leave the lid or whatever u have on the container to keep the humidity in. If u want get some plastic wrap over the container and stick a few toothpicks through the top, one possibly right next to the egg so when the baby frees its arms it can grab on to something to help itself out. Also it will make it easier to relocate it.

I did leave the lid on, I was worried about the egg drying out before he climbed out. Thanks for the tip about the tooth pick, I'll do that.
