Hasnt moved much after sleeping

It's 96º at top and about 85º towards the middle and around 73º where he was sleeping. He's moving around now. Not sure if I turned on the light a little early for him or what lol

That pic is towards the bottom of cage I have lot more vegetation towards the top. I've read the basking are should be around 100º for an adult. is he still to small for that temp?

There is alot debate over Temps for chameleons and what they can handle or be comfortable with. Living in Florida my Panthers are outside almost all year. It gets hot. It does not kill them. If I see them stressing over the heat, I bring them in. Veilds live outdoors in the wild and thrive. Is your chameleon gaping? If not, chances are he is not too hot. If the whole cage was 96 that would be a different story. Maybe I am playing Devils advocate here, but am just stating my opinion. Maybe find a happy medium and lower everything 5 degrees all around and see if he doesn't become more active

Pic 1 and 2 are what the panther lives in. Pic 3 is my panther pissed off because I was taking pics. Pic 4 and 5 are where my 2 veiled live. I have a male and female and you can see the laybin in the bottom right corner of the female'ssetup. Pic 6 is where my juvenile melleri lives. In about a month they're all going to move to their outside enclosures for the summer.
