Chameleon Info:

  • Your Chameleon - veiled, female, 3 years old. I’ve had her for 1 week.
  • Handling - only handled once.
  • Feeding and supplements - 7-10 crickets every other day gut loaded with carrots and dusted with EarthPro A and Repashy calcium no D every feeding and Calcium low D twice a month. Hornworms one twice a week.
  • Watering - MistKing 2 min at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm, 1:00 am, 2:00am, 3:00am, 5:00am, 6:30 am. She does drink the dew drops.
  • Fecal Description - Hasn’t pooped yet. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites? No
  • History - Original owner had her since a few months old. No mention of any health or feeding issues. Never laid eggs but also didn’t have a lay box consistently.

Cage Info:

  • Cage Type - Screen with 2 sides covered, 18x18x36
  • Lighting - T5 10.0 linear. On at 7am until 7pm.
  • Temperature - Basking=85, upper =80, lower = need to check, she doesn’t go to the very bottom. Low overnight = 70. I use a therm pro with a waterproof sensor plus temp gun and hand under basking just to triple check.

  • Plants - Lipstick, pink polka dot, weeping ficus.
  • Placement - Where is your cage located? Bedroom. Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? None of these. At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor? 6ft
  • Location - Where are you geographically located? Washington state, USA
Has a lay box filled with washed play sand.

Current Problem - No poop or urate since I brought her home. When does this become a concern?

Are you sure your girl hasnt went poop and you just arnt noticing. It could have dries up.
OK is your chameleon still eating? If so that's good. Do you have substrate in enclosure? If so it could mean impaction. Might have swallowed some substrate. Don't get to alarmed just yet, my last female veiled would go every ten days then just unleash all at once. After 10 days start worrying. You could back off on feeding for couple days and let her drink as much as she can. Hydrate. That might help.

She pooped a good amount. Urate is half white half orange. Let me know if there’s anything else to look out for consider or if all looks good.

Sorry...I thought you meant in a separate thread.
No worries. I’d you see anything that’s a must fix let me know, otherwise I think she is doing ok for now. I am working on a new enclosure but it will take a month to finish so trying to get the one she has up to par ASAP.
